I worked 3 jobs: drove with limited car insurance, ate ramen noodles, shopped at goodwill for presents for family when I could shop at all. Many harps came and went during that time. They were for sale, for rent–but I was going to wait and be able to pay for it on my own. There weren’t hands out, there wasn’t indiegogo –and I wouldn’t have done it that way anyway. I worked my butt off. I sacrificed so much— 80 hour work weeks doing whatever I could to make the money–don’t regret one hour of it. The harp I have was the harp I was meant to have.

I am very bothered by this…I see her posts everywhere. I worked THREE job, often in excess of 75 hours a week, to pay for my harp. I read online that she only works part-time. It took me a long time, but I did it! I appreciate all she has done to save and improve her financial status but I don’t understand why she doesn’t pick up a second job or work more hours? And Sherry–if you read this–don’t misunderstand…I did what I needed to also to get a harp but I didn’t do it by asking others to pay for it. I believe every harpist should follow their dream and if you get a harp from this campaign, I will be happy for you. But I believe in self sufficiency.

I have only been back to performing for about a year, so I have struggled with this a lot lately.

I just had a bride request some of her music and I figure they are pretty versatile pieces.

I had a Taurus forever and loved it with my concert Venus…but with a need to seat 5 kids…that required a minivan, so we choose the Town and Country with Stow n Go seating…the seats all fold flat in the car so I can get the harp in flat, or with my new “harp seat” that we built, I can get it in between the seats with the column down, but isn’t resting on the column and I can still get 3 kids in not that it happens often.

I saw this on another site and it made references to having worked with cows and “high strung” animals.

this didn’t seem to be the song I remember….I played the first few measures and it didn’t sound like what I remember to be from Princess Bride….I’m looking for the one that was sung in the movie…

I do have a contract, but it was never that specific, as I have never had this come up before.
