I wonder if there should be a “no touch” clause in the contract. Did the kid scratch your harp with his shoes?
The irony is if your kid leaned on their new car they’d be ready for a throw down.
Maybe an ice chest air conditioner would solve cooling and humidification in one go, if you have room for it. Google “ice chest air conditioner” and set your handyman dad to work. I would test it in the van before depending on it for a long trip though.

Bursae are like cusions for the tendons that keep friction to a minimum when you bend your joints. Bursitis is an inflammation of the Bursae.

Just don’t lose your ring! Focus on technique. Work up to longer practices, and know when to back off to give your finger/knuckle time to adapt.
Typically if it’s arthritis it hurts less as you go through the day using it. If it hurts more, it’s strain.
Check for local harp societies as they sometimes have a classified section or you can ask them if they know of any harps for rent or sale. Also look for neighboring societies. Morley harps is also worth looking into. I don’t know where they are in relation to you but they have a website and a physical store. You can see there second hand inventory as well.
A small lever harp of reputable manufacture (not Pakistan) should be just fine. There are good reviews of the harpsicles as well. I’m renting a dusty strings crescendo and its very nice.

So are the journals viewable by others? Maybe on your fiends list? I just told my teacher about it but didn’t consider how she would see the journal.
We have Loctite in the states. I wouldn’t recommend it unless it’s for SURE the source of the problem as you’ll probably never get it off. If the bolt was to be loose in the leg instead of where the wingnut was screwed on, it would prevent further tightening.
Is it possible its not the legs but instead the lifting mechanism? Moving parts are the most likely to come loose or break with many things. Maybe you need to tighten something else.

I have a throne on order. They seem more utilitarian than a bench, but not as traditional. I’m using a keyboard bench right now and my lower back starts to hurt after a while. I’m also more comfortable with stools that you spin to raise or lower.
I’ve heard of some bolts being cheap and they actually stretch with stress, if that was the case you could replace them. It might be worth it to take the wingnut off, remove the leg, and check the bolt that is in the leg to make sure it’s not loose. If it is, try and tighten it before putting it back on.
If I had to guess without seeing it myself, I’d guess the bolt the wingnut attaches to is not firmly placed in the leg and is working itself loose. Everytime you tighten the wingnut the bolt unscrews a bit from the leg over time. It could be other things, but it’s a good place to start.

I ordered a mohagany and it’s still in production. I almost went with natural but decided on a darker wood as that is more appealing to me. Waiting on it is driving me nuts.
I think that first video might be an older style 100 with an internal pickup added after manufacture. You can see the cable plugged into the harp above the pedals on the left side, which seems an unfortunate location to install it but probably kept the cable off the pedals better than putting the plug in jack in the base in the back I guess. I didn’t see individual pickups on the individual strings on the soundboard, unless I’m missing something. The newer style 2000, at least, has two pickups on the right side of the base and more towards the front so it would be out of the way and not facing the audience.
In that second video they must have labeled it wrong. It’s either a 100, or an electroacoustic(2000) I think the same column causes some confusion. It’s hard to tell what it really is as the resolution and distance from the camera make it hard to tell, but I’d guess its a 100 since it doesn’t have the rosewood center strip the pickups are mounted on and it does have the newer rounded base suggesting it’s not an older model harp.
If you look at the first two videos I posted above you can see the rosewood center strip on the soundboard. That’s a big clue it’s a style 2000 instead of a 100. If you look at Alyssa’s harp pictures/videos you can see the older style pickups on the 2000, which does not have the rosewood strip but does have the rounded base. I think I read someplace the older pickups were nice.
I cant tell if this is a 2000 or a Camac or what, the resolution is poor and the harp is all black. But, those do look like older pickups, they are just too huge to be regular eyelets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PO5rwrd6ok
Possibly, Greg Buchanan also plays an electroacoustic, but it looks like a blue Salzedo on his website.
It’s almost like everything on the internet is more confusing concerning electroacoustic harps than helpful.
