Thankyou Barbara for the link and I have read it but I agree with Karen, I am searching for some updated info and hopefully get some feedback from recent happy delacour customers 🙂 or non happy 🙁 It’s an open posting for positive or negative.

And yes to Jessica, It would be ideal to try them next to another but the problem is that it isn’t an option 🙁 It would be a risk I would have to take and I’m not quite sure whether it is worth the risk.
Even if you don’t have delacour levers on your harp but you have an opinion please feel free to post. I’m open for as much information as I can get at this point.

Congrats Mel,

I have had my harp for a couple of weeks now, It’s a hire one but I absolutely love her! I play piano but have fallen under the spell of the harp and I’m so glad I decided to switch. I wish I had discovered the harp sooner but better late than never I guess. I share your joy! I’m very happy for you 🙂

And that’s great advice Gillian, thanks for that. In the meantime I’m going to do exactly that, get my hands on as many harps as I can. I can’t wait for the magical moment I when find ‘The One’ hehehe. It is like that though.

Gillian, I did go and have a look at a Thom harp but no I havn’t made a purchase yet. I like them alot but I’m not sure it’s really the sound I’m after. There are so many good harps out there and they are all good for their own special qualities aren’t they? to be honest, I’m a little overwhelmed by the choices available. I will be flying to newcastle on monday so I will have to get into touch with Brendan as he is only an hour away from there. Oh and I did check out Keith Harrison’s and tim Guster’s sites and

Hi Gillian,

If you don’t mind me asking, what are some harps you could suggest that you think may be better? I am more than open to suggestions. I love the Triplett but I don’t think there are any Triplett dealers in Australia ( none that I can find anyway) So I was looking for alternatives. I am not after anything less than 36 strings though.

Check out Andrew Thom Harps in Tasmania Australia. Pretty cool looking Harps. He makes new age carbon fibre harps. He can make one in any colour you desire aswell.
