I love those new tablet style things that you can write on and push a button and find what you have written on your computer screen in proper typing.

Are there any of then yet that will do the same for music manuscript? Boy would that be a time saver for me. My manuscript is legible but looks awful, inconsistent sizes of notes and so on. What a rush it would be to see my chicken scratch in a legible form on a screen, to be copied or saved or whatever.

    That does sound great!

Here’s another hi-tech toy I’d love to have – a electronic music stand.

The closest thing (I think) that is out there is a midi-keyboard where you can put the notes in and it then converts them to sheet music. Finale music products (I believe it is PrintMusic) also has a scanner feature, but I have found it to be of little use with hand-written scores. That feature is better for scanning music and converting it quickly to a different key.

I think Sibelius 6 also does this.
