    Pat, I find my cowboy boots very comfortable when I play harp, they have a riding heel which is a little higher than normal. They don’t seem too far off from the shoes that I see most women wear when they play.

    It’s kind of funny; at first I preferred playing barefoot, but now I definitely prefer to wear shoes for pedaling. But I like a firmer sole, personally. Finding a tapered toe rather than the wide clunky ones can be a problem, though. I have trouble with wider shoes fitting between the pedals.
