I will be playing my lap harp at the Ocean for my son’s wedding in October and am seeking advise about the best means to amplify the sound. A music store owner is suggesting a mike with 180 degree sound pick up hooked to a small battery-operated amplifier with foam around the mike to keep wind sound down. There are also small pick-ups I’ve seen that can be attached inside the harp as well. Does anyone have experience with this scenario who could offer advise? I’m thinking using both devices might be the best way to ensure sound. Only 75 people will be there to listen, so it’s not a huge crowd. Thanks!!

Sue, I played my lever harp (Thormahlen Swan) for a wedding on the beach in Ocean City MD.
