Scottish harpist Ailie Robertson and her husband have opened a new harp shop in Argyll, Scotland. According to a press release, the Saltire Harp Centre provides harp sales, rentals, and accessories, as well as Dusty Strings pickups and installation services near Loch Etive in southwestern Scotland. Its mission is to make quality instruments more accessible to people across Scotland and beyond.
“We wanted to create a space where people could truly experience the harp—to sit down, try different models, and find the one that feels right for them,” Robertson says. “Scotland has such a rich harp tradition, and we’re thrilled to bring a dedicated space for learners and professionals alike.”
The shop allows visitors to try, play, and purchase harps from Dusty Strings, Pilgrim Harps, Weissgerber Harps, and Marini Harps, offering models ranging from 24 to 37 strings. In addition to harp sales, the Centre offers a try-to-buy rental plan, allowing customers to put rental fees toward the cost of a purchase.
