Şirin Pancaroğlu has recorded 22 pieces from her Turkish Harp Project sheet music collection. The Turkish Harp Sessions Vols. 1 and 2 are now available on digital platforms. Volume 1 presents all pieces for lever harp, while volume 2 features the pieces for pedal harp. According to a press release, the recordings serve as an audio companion to the scores to help guide harpists through their practice and performance of the pieces from The Turkish Harp Music Collection, available as a digital download from 80 Days Publishing. All pieces were recorded at Studyo Frekans in Izmir, Turkey, and mixed and mastered by Bora Ebeoğlu.
Pancaroğlu founded The Turkish Harp Project in 2008 to share the rich heritage of Turkish music with the world through the universal sound of the harp—from reviving the çeng (a lost angular harp from the Turkish musical world), to compiling a 24-volume collection of sheet music and the open-source work Flavours of Turkish Music, to carrying out 63 activities in 13 countries on 3 continents in 2024.
