Goodman and de Maistre release new albums

Xavier de Maistre released a solo Christmas album; Erica Goodman released a chamber album with flutist Suzanne Shulman.

Two new albums have been released this month. A new CD released on Oct. 1 by two Canadian artists, harpist Erica Goodman and flutist Suzanne Shulman, features the world premiere recording of “Net of Gems” by Canadian composer David Occhipinti. The album, A Net of Gems, is available for download, or on streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. Check out the album trailer to listen to highlights from A Net of Gems.

French harpist Xavier de Maistre released Christmas Harp with Sony Classical on Oct. 21. The majority of the album consists of original works for harp composed by Hasselmans and Salzedo based on traditional carols from a variety of countries. Christmas Harp also features harp arrangements of favorites from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker. The album is available on multiple streaming platforms.
