Harpist Kirsten Agresta Copely’s upcoming New Age album Kuruvinda received a silver medal for outstanding achievement in the Global Music Awards, an international competition that recognizes independent musicians. Kuruvinda is available to pre-save now and will be independently released on Valcope Recording Company on Aug. 1. The title track is her first single from the album, available now on major streaming platforms.
“Inspired by the Sanskrit word for a flawed but radiant ruby, Kuruvinda reveals a journey to embrace imperfections, reminding us that every imperfection is part of our brilliance,” Agresta Copely says. “This album emerged from a time of deep introspection, when I reflected on the quiet power of authenticity over perfection. Kuruvinda is my way of honoring the tender places that we usually try to hide, and to create a space where flaws feel not only accepted, but beautiful.”
The award follows Agresta Copely’s GRAMMY nomination for her album Aquamarine. She also received a silver medal in the Global Music Awards for her album Around the Sun in 2021.
