Vincenzo Zitello began studying music at a young age, first playing flute and viola at the “G. Donizetti” Civic Music School in Sesto San Giovanni. Since 1977, he has been a leading figure in the Celtic harp movement in Italy, studying with renowned harpists including Dominig Bouchard, Mariannig Larc’hantec, Lisetta Paleari, and later Alan Stivell.

In 1985, he formed the duo “ASCIARA” with Saro Cosentino. Together they recorded the 45 rpm FILL, produced by Franco Battiato and published by EMI, featuring traditional Irish and Breton songs performed in their original languages. It won the singing prize at the international light music exhibition “Gondola D’Argento” in Riva Del Garda.
