Rami Levin received degrees from Yale University (B.A.), the University of
California, San Diego, (M.A.) and the University of Chicago (Ph.D.). Her catalog
includes works for chamber ensemble, chorus, and orchestra, which have been
recorded and performed internationally. The recipient of a Fulbright award in 2008, she spent a semester teaching and composing in Brazil. She moved to Rio de Janeiro in 2010 where she taught and worked as a composer until 2017. After returning to the U.S. she joined the board of the Women Composers Festival of Hartford and was elected President in 2018, a position she held until 2023.
