At an early age I learned to play various instruments as my parents ran a music store. Beginning with the harp at age 12, I received a seat as a guest student (age 14) at the University of Music in Wuerzburg, Germany. Following this I studied music, majoring in harp with Prof. Gisèle Herbet and graduating with honors at the age of 21. I gained orchestral experience in some German orchestras and in 1988 was 1st harpist of the Filarmonica Del Bajio in Guanajuato, Mexico. Artistically playing as a soloist and in various formations, I preferably play with Ralph Stoevesandt, billed as Duo Sandrose (harp and musical saw). Giving harp lessons to children and adults for years, I additionally work as music therapist and composer. My compositions are atmospheric images, dealing with feelings in natural experiences and interpersonal relationships. These compositions are written for lever and pedal harps, solo pieces and chamber music.
