ParticipantWell, dark chocolate had anti oxidants, and so does red wine (I do not drink beer) and red wine also lowers cholesterol….and cheese, well cheese cake is a definite essential of life…as is chocolate and hazelnut mud cake…yum!
Personality quirks, yes, I agree they are charming and an essential to a balanced life – all

ParticipantI totally get the Darth Mom relation to harps…doing battle with the evil empire and all….And there are so many experiences that are truly from outer space and make you think you are dealing with aliens…..
There is an arrangement of stars wars themes for harp….in my Great Standards for the harp which I’m thinking of learning just in “honour” of recent experiences I’ve had with empires evil and otherwise…
I also did a gig not so long ago, where I felt like I’d walked into that cafe from the first movie, you know the gin joint full of jazz and aliens from all cornors of the universe….
I get it – but then I’m an odd gal!

ParticipantCharles,
I agree with you on the designs on the soundboard – that’s why I chose
an unadorned soundboard. Has anyone ever had their soundboard custom
painted with something if their own choice?Alice

ParticipantHi Brookster,
I hope someone gets it that really appreciates it for what it is! I (seriously) wish I had bought it, but thought I needed a concert grand for the sort of work I was doing….
The one thing that made me feel better about selling my Salvi, was the girl that bought it was a young professional just out of Uni, that was just beginning her professional life. She really wanted a Salvi concert grand, and could genuinely not afford a new one. So, I know that it has gone to someone that really wanted and needed it and could not get one any other way.
She took quite a while to come and see it, and come up with the money, and the harp sat over in Melbourne gathering dust for quite a while! Which was stressful, but I’m glad that we waited for her, as I think it went to the right person.
I do hope that it works out like that for you too! (Just wish I’d grabbed it when the money from my Salvi had come through!)
All the best,
Curls.

ParticipantHeide,
I belonged to Gulf Coast Harpers about 5 years ago when I first started
with the harp, but no longer. It would be cool to get together
sometime. My main drawback is that my husband needs to schlepp the harp
for me as I cannot lift it due to knee problems. We really arent that
far away from each other as I live north of Katy between I-10 & 290.Driving the Katy Freeway is not too bad for me as my hours are 7 to 4.
Nice chatting with you.

ParticipantAndy, That is too funny!! Well, it Mishutka’s harp now! I hope that he lets you play it. Ella will be very priviledged if Mishutka lets her in the same room as his harp. I love pekes.
