I look forward to hearing the responses on this thread! I have a L&H Style 2000 CG, with a straight soundboard. The only extended experience that I have with another harp is with a wonderful L&H Style 23 Gold … so not an apples-to-apples comparison.

I replaced a Dusty FH26 with a 36-string Nova (synthetic fiber strings). While I enjoyed resonance of the Dusty very much, the Nova’s warm sound (especially the base notes) calls me to come practice. Enjoy your search!
Carl, thank you so much for your good counsel and insight! I’d only been looking at the utility of the wheels, and hadn’t taken into consideration how the harp was constructed. I bought my harp from Robieburr Berger, who’d used her husband’s design exclusively. And to think I was finished dodging a lifetime of bullets … whew. Many, many thanks.
I favor my Berger Harp Wheels! They clamp onto the bottom of my L&H CG 2000. Steering is via the knee and the handle, and it is a very stable set-up. It takes up less space than my daughter’s skateboard and, at less than 1/4 the price of a trolley, it’s affordable.

The Berger Harp Mobile is a set of wheels that clamp onto the base of the harp. To attach them, the harp is tipped forward, the axel is slipped behind the feet, and clamps are hand-tightened to the base. The clamps are well-padded, and it’s a very stable set up. I much prefer them to a trolley.
Steve Berger designed the Harp Mobile for his wife, Robieburr. (I have the privilege of owning Robieburr’s L&H CG 2000, which her family sold after she passed away.) Mr. Berger passed his manufacturing secrets on to his daughter, Dr. Karen E. Berger. She has been constructing them, upon request, since 2000 and they come with a 100% guarantee. Please check with Dr. Berger about whether the wheels will fit the base of your harp. They fit the CG 2000, but they don’t fit my L&H Troubadour II.

PatI have a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring … it’s dependable, affordable, and gets fairly good gas mileage (21/37). It fits my LH2000, amp, and drum stool. A trolley would be a squeeze, though. My Berger wheels fit easily in the rear foot well.
I received another offer to send payment and arrange for subsequent pick-up … this one from “John Cash.” Sigh.
So true, Kreig. I was hesitant to make assumptions about the sender’s surname, but that “misspelling” had my antennae wiggling before I even got to the body of the email.
Thanks for your posting, Frank. This week a scammer responded to my Lyon & Healy CG 2000 ad in The Harp Mall classifieds. Fortunately, the site lists examples of fraudulent emails. The email that “Upchurch Hooser” sent to me was one of those examples … from April 2012! Pat
