It is most recommended to find Sunita Stanislaw’s arrangements.
She has beautiful arrangements for most popular Jewish and Israeli songs.You can get them from her directly and I think some harp stores in the US keep them too

The first rule when charring a harp is to always warn people NOT to help you. This I some times find my self having to bee quite rude to people who don’t understand that it is dangerous for my back and the harp I carry.
I always talk about that in my workshops…
The only people who can help are people who know how to handle harp and even then you need some one in charge of the move.There are a few solutions to this issue.
1st is to push the pegs in while tuning the strings, you must use force. You can try turning the peg back an forth while pushing. you may also try to use a soft plastic hammer to lock the pegs.
If that does not work you can remove the peg completely and apply something that would add friction. The two recommended things I use are chock (like you would use on a black board) or violin resin (which is my favorite).
the options I gave you work 99.9% of the time.

Since I cannot make the action plate longer, is there anything I can do to reinforce the neck in that particular weak spot?
There is also the issue of refinishing the harp. Since it will be hard for me to match the wood and colors, I was thinking of refinishing it in shiny black. I know not to refinish the soundboard but I was also told that if I refinish the sound box it might effect the sound too. The harp had a beautiful sound and a perfectly preserved sound board, I would hate to ruin that.

I made a mistake with the reamer, it is 1/30 reamer and not 1/60 like I wrote. Can anyone confirm that?

I got some information regarding the tapered reamer as well, It is supposed to be 1/60…We are still looking for the right wood, it is hard to come by and perhaps we would need to order special wood from abroad. I was told that some builders make their own ply wood but we don’t have much experience with that. We would rather use something that is in use and is proven.
One more question, these harps have a built in weak point on the top part of the neck. Would you suggest reinforcing this part by making the neck wider at that point?

In a workshop I did yesterday I showed how to pick up a harp with little effort.
The doubting audiance said that it is easyer for a man to do that but 5 minutes later two scrawny girls lifted OUR harps up in the air. It is all about the technique!!!
