Did you buy the harp? My daughter’s harp has similar crackling. I emailed Lyon and Healy a photo and they said it’s not a structural issue and we plan to get them to fix it this summer. 🙂

JackieIf I understood correctly that you live in New Jersey, the Virginia Harp Center has a location in Haddonfield. It might be worth your time to plan a visit. In my opinion, the more harpists in the world, the better. 🙂

There is a facebook group called Harp Exchange where people are often trying to locate harps to rent (or for practice) in other countries. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a request that didn’t get at least a reply or two.

I would not take a chance on damaging the harp by transporting the crate on it’s side. She could call Lyon and Healy and ask them.

JackieThank you, Saul! I called BMI a few weeks ago and they said that an individual is not even able to purchase licensing (as an individual). I guess the harpist would have to pay on behalf of the venue?
JackieThank you both so much! I wasn’t successful with my own google search. I must have stopped looking on page one or two. I might actually buy both arrangements for my daughter.:-) (And, Charles, I forgot to say, she plays a pedal harp.)
