60% of my large teaching practise is ladies over 40!
Everyone loves playing the harp and its instant satisfaction with tunes being played in the first lesson.
Have a look at my website to see what my students say http://www.telyn.com

ParticipantHi There
The Triplett Christina is a great harp – but for a higher tension still try the Triplett Zephyr – this is a great travel harp with almost concert tension strings and with a full set of Camac levers very versatile too!

ParticipantHi There
I am currently taking a Blind student through grade 3 and have taught her from day 1, she has perfect pitch and is possibly the easiest of my students to teach!
I use lots of call and echo learning techniques with her along with her putting her hand over mine to feel the technique.
Good Luck!

ParticipantHi There
The Catalina S has a wonderful rich tone – you dont even have to work hard to get a fantastic sound – I sell them here in the UK and played one at a wedding last week and it was joy to play!!
Good Luck

ParticipantNever by a harp just becuase it has a certain brand name on it – all is not always what it seems particularly with big name brands.
Every harp is different – always take your teacher with you to

ParticipantHi There
I have an Aldeburgh and a Malvern in my show room at the moment in Derbyshire and they are in the same finish as well (black satin).
Both these harps are going to our Master Class and exhibition in Porthmadog on Friday where David Watkins will be demonstrating them.
The Aldeburgh is a lovely harp – both myself and David Watkins were involved in the design process – the Aldeburgh has more space at the top. Both are very light and very playable instruments.
