ParticipantKay, you should not receive an email for this reply, let me know if you do.

ParticipantKay, I’m testing something, please let me know. If my theory is correct, you should receive an email for this reply to your message above, but not for the one I’m about to send.

ParticipantGrrrr still not working.
For what it’s worth, if you click the “Text” button, the larger font remains. Bear with me, I’ll get this one fixed too :-).

ParticipantBonnie, re Chrome, that is really strange, it is the main browser Kim and I use to develop in (on mac and linux). I have never had any of the issues you mention. Any chance it’s an old version? Could you try reloading a page while holding down the “shift” key?

ParticipantOK… turning on the visual editor adds a serif font (yay!) but makes the type smaller (booo) and I can’t easily change it without hacking some javascript. However I think we want the visual editor, so leaving this for now…
HBrock25
ParticipantOK, how about this? Bumped the font size up two points in the text area and darkened the type.

ParticipantThis is going to sound odd, but I’m pretty sure we’re getting different sizes on different computers. The body font definitely got a lot bigger on my screen when I bumped up the point size. I suspect it has something to do with responsive design and different browsers.
I definitely agree on the font in the text area, it could be bigger and darker, will see what I can do there.
Finally — is anyone seeing a background color other than white for posts (not where you type them, the main area where you read them)? You should not be but I’m getting from some of the comments that you might be.

ParticipantOK, let me pass that by the rest of the staff… I don’t want to exceed my authority :).

ParticipantHmm, I learn more about this forum plugin every day :).
Bonnie, it looks like the only way I can turn off edit logging is to turn it off globally for the whole site. I don’t think I care too much one way or another about it, but I can see how some people might like to be notified about revisions. Should we put it to a vote or something?
Meantime I’m going to dig further and see if I can un-flag your specific revisions as an admin, will let you know here.

ParticipantYou are right, that is very annoying. I have turned it off (well, as best I could — I set the time limit to 999999999 minutes).
I think this is a feature for forums that are more, shall we say, rough-and-tumble than ours — you can imagine malicious users tricking other users by editing their posts after putting them up. I don’t think that’s a problem we have here though.

ParticipantWell, if it was that easy to fix, yay! That’s one of the reasons we switched to this platform… there is a plugin for practically everything.

ParticipantIt is — I have not had time to move the “read-only” forums over yet, but I will do so this weekend.

ParticipantI believe I have found a solution. I added a little plugin that gives you control of all your forum notifications. Kay, if you go back to the exact same spot you went to before, at the bottom of that profile screen you will see some new options that let you turn off all notifications from replies to your posts and so on. If you wouldn’t mind trying that out and letting me know if it works, I’d very much appreciate it.

ParticipantOK… when you say “I have marked ‘No'”, where exactly did you do that? I know you can do it from your Community profile (Community -> Profile -> Settings), but I’m wondering if there is another place as well.
Let me know,

ParticipantInteresting, I will take a look and let you know — there must be a way to turn them off entirely.
