ParticipantPeople seem to think mine is pretty ridiculous.

ParticipantThey’re glorious, really top-quality instruments. However, Rod is right, with any harp you’re thinking of buying you should try it out first. Not everyone loves the same thing in an instrument. But do follow this interest up because it’s worth traveling for. They’re certainly the harp of choice among many concert performers in Europe.

Participant>unless one of us becomes a mind reader
You don’t have to be a mind reader, only a screen reader. And you’re pretty rude yourself. Out of here now, so have fun, if this is your idea of fun.

ParticipantWe have a different definition of Bad, Maria. To me
“Do we dare have a thread on who we think is the worst harp player? ” and “Too bad we can’t post anonymously”
is pretty clear and doesn’t need any assuming. It is inviting us to hold people up for public ridicule. How “amiable” is that? The made-up stuff (if it IS made up) came days later when the thread was going nowhere.
You’ll probably like the Mean Girls thread too.

ParticipantAnd what hint might that be, Saul? You started this a week ago and had to resurrect it yourself because no one would play. If you wanted to know about obscure works or recordings you could have simply put it as a question.
So what are you hinting at that we should do?

ParticipantLet’s also limit it to people who are DEAD, ok? Saul, why do you start threads like this?

ParticipantAll you were saying? Re-read your own posts.
> and I have heard from more than one person that your information on Venus is skewed and that you have been lucky…..my experience. I know I wouldn’t deal with them after things I have read here from Denise.
> It doesn’t bother you that there was false information given on an entire BRAND of harps (Salvi), huh John? Only that Venus was mentioned, I gather. Oh my………..I can almost hear the choirs of angels!!

ParticipantThe screen name – a common practice in forums – is because I occasionally post things about my students where I need some feedback from peers (in particular the “Harp Mothers” thread) in which I don’t want any of the characters identified, and said mothers can access this website as easily as anyone else.

ParticipantThe trouble with a small, less competitive school is: how good an education would you be getting? Is that really going to give you what you need as a working musician, in view of how demanding the scene is?

ParticipantSo would I! Do you have any thoughts on this, Mr. Milligan?

ParticipantStill pretty new here and I obviously haven’t mastered the HTML yet – don’t know where those irritating question marks come from (which should be quotation marks & apostrophes) in both this and in my first post.
