If you could study harp (pedal or lever) with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

What a happy question! My answer- My teacher!

She is a wonderful person, a gifted musician, a source of constant musical surprises, and a great harpist.

What more would an adult beginner want?

I would want to study with my harp teacher’s teacher. She studied with Susann McDonald at Indiana University. The woman I studied with was absolutely mesmerizing to listen to, and I would love to play like that.

Oh, and that wasn’t meant to imply that my teacher wasn’t a gifted teacher. She was. I just chose another career path. I would happily study with my harp teacher again. I was just saying: If I could study with anyone in the world, who is someone that inspires me? I would study with that person.

I took a workshop with Frank Voltz. I think he has some great teaching techniques and would like to study with him!
