have recently started playing the harp at the grand old age of 47 & am loving it! I am looking into hiring a harp with a view to buy, i know both clive morley & pilgrim harps offer this service & was all set to head up to the cotswolds & look at morley harps, but my harp teacher advises pilgrim harps. The advantage of the morley harps is you can bring it back with you on the day – any advice from more experienced harpists?

My advice is to try them and decide based on which one you like to play best. I would say don’t choose until you have tried both.

Not familiar with Morley harps, but Pilgrim harps are really good instruments so I wouldn’t advice you to choose until you have tried them out.

As Tony says you would be well advised to try lots of harps and see which you fall in love with.
