What kind of strings should I get?

You need the Bow Brand pedal harp strings because the gauge
is the right one.

She doesn’t have to use Bow. You can use Vanderbilt or Pirastro strings. I buy my strings for my Camac Athena (47 strings) from Vanderbilt Music for the most part, just buy base wires for a pedal harp (most people like the coated with reds and blacks for Cs and Fs — I prefer silver/coppers for the sound) and pedal guts up as high as you wish. I put Vanderbilts all the way up until

The Vanderbilts have more harmonics to the sound. I hear a more bell-like tone because thet harmonic sounding the fifth

Can a Pirastro string be used on a Venus harp?

If it’s a pedal harp you can use any brand of pedal harp strings on your Venus as long as you get the proper octaves. I got my Pirastro strings here, (The Harp Connection).

I dislike Bow strings on my pedal harp. They just don’t sound very good.
