What does this mean?

I was just cruising the L&H site for the used harps and there is a 23 (built in 1980) listed for 20 and some change and it says that the sound board was recently replaced with “non OEM sitka spruce”. What exactly is non OEM?
No, not shopping to buy, just “Window shopping” and curious as to what that means.

    Thanks,
    Kay

Kay, Oem usually stands for “original equipment manufacturer”. In this case it probably means L&H didn’t do the soundboard replacement

I tried to google it ; original equipment manufacturer was all I could find but how does that apply?
