I have the serial number of a Venus harp, but no idea how to find out how old it is. Is there a way to research the year of the Venus harp by serial number and who would I contact?

The person you want to contact is Kurt Berg who was the harp technician there for many years. He gave me permission to share his email address which is harprx@aol.com. I worked there with him for 22 years as their staff harpist. He will be happy to help you out.

    Best,

I know that Venus no longer is making harps. I have been wanting to find one to purchase. I am assuming that you purchased a previously owned one. Was it hard to find the age and history about your harp?
So far, are you enjoying having this brand of Harp? What are some things I should out for when purchasing a previously owned Venus harp?

I personally don’t have a Venus harp, but a young friend of mine purchased a used one a few years ago for around $5,000. I never did find out the exact age of the harp but by looking at it I’d guess it was around 20 years old. It has been a great first harp for her and hasn’t required any serious maintenance.
