    I’m going to be going away for a few months later in the year, and won’t be able to take my beloved Ravenna 34 with me. I travel for a living most of the year, and I’d like to find a small lap harp to take with me, so that I can keep my fingers moving and continue to play while I’m away. Ideally it would be an instrument which I might be able to carry on the plane. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    I love the Triplett Zephyr. It weighs less than 10 pounds and fits

    easily in the overhead bin of almost all planes.

    I was also wondering if anyone can offer me a comparison between the zephyr and a fully levered harpsicle. What is the tension like in each of them? I’d like something with similar tension to my Ravenna 34.

    I’ve spent the last two years in Egypt where there are no harps to be found, so I bought a 22 string Oriel harp from Harps of Lorien.
