It has a fair number of features in common with an arpa llanera. I suspect they would have more luck marketing it to people interested in authentic folk craft.
Things like this turn up from time to time – typically (if elderly) individually made chamber harps; and as Tacye noted rather loosely strung like an arpa llanera. I agree it is not pretty, but then I’ve seen some beautiful looking harps that were useful for nothing but a lamp post. Made a few myself hee hee.
