I need to move my 85CG and my little boys next week. It will be a nearly 3 hour drive. I have a Ford Windstar minivan with middle row captains seats. Will it be safe for the harp to travel on its column between the captains chairs for that distance? If so, any advice on how to make it as safe as possible? Thanks in advance!

Just received a reply from a technician, so I have the info I need. But I’d still be curious to know how others do this.

I don’t recommend doing this at all, but in an emergency, be sure the harp is well supported on both sides and held as still as possible. It would be better to brace it against the side of the van if possible. You don’t want the neck to be vibrating.

Thank you Saul. I have always thought it was a bad idea, but I’m in a bind this time. I will be sure to keep it still.
