I am trying to find pieces that help teach students to play 7 or 8 notechords and their inversions…so typical in orchestra parts.
Elinor, Two orchestral works that come to mind right away are both by Tchaikovsky: “Romeo and Juliet” overture and the cadenza
Ibert’s Six Pieces have several pieces based on seventh or sixth chords and their inversions. I think you might find these very helpful.
