I once ordered a wire string from Galli for a Camac lever harp.

I believe that the unnamed French company was SOFRACOB (SOciété FRAnçaise de COrdes en Boyaux).

Vermont Strings will make up a set of “Erard Gothic” wires upon request.

Does anyone know a manufacturer of wound nylon strings for pedal harps?

Saul, if you mean nylon wound over nylon, I wonder why you wish them for pedal harps? I have just a little experience using them on lever harps and after awhile the thinner, outer winding would break and “birdcage” as they say, sliding up and down the core nylon, making it all useless. As far as tone goes, on those lever harps I did not find the tone of those kind of strings outstanding. I wonder if others have had better experiences with them.

I was thinking of the nylon strings, back in the day of red and green strings, that had a banded surface for the low-register strings. Perhaps they were not wound, after all.
