Any suggestions of good music for a college string quartet and

    harp?

    Hi Calista,

I would recommend the Hoffman Quintet and the Bax Quintet.

There is a lot of concert music for harp and string quartet, but I can’t make a list of it right now. You can research it in the music library. The greatest work is Conte Fantastique by Andre Caplet. You can also play the Debussy Danses with a quartet accompaniment.

Lyon & Healy has a new harp and string quartet series out.

Gustavo Leone’s Red Quintet (for string quartet and harp) is a real cool piece.

You can purchase the piece directly from the composer.

There is also a very nice arrangement of Ravel’s Pavane pour une Infante Defunte.
