    Hi everyone,

Does anyone else have a piece of music they can never get to sound right? I mean, I can play many different pieces and eventually with the right amount of practice depending on the difficulty level it works out. But, I have one song ,an easy one too; Scarborough Fair, that I have never been able to get right. The melody is easy enough but as soon as I try to add the left hand it all goes out the window from there. I have even tried many different renditions of the song, many new ways to practice it

Have you tried writing your own arrangement of it.

As my teacher, Eileen Malone, used to say, some pieces just have to “marinate” a while. If you leave it alone for a few months, you’ll probably find you have no trouble with it anymore when you go back to it.

    Barbara’s advice is spot on.
