    Hi everyone,
I’m a student and new to the forums, but I was hoping to dip into your wealth of harp knowledge! I have a Salzedo piece here- The Enchanted Isle, Symphonic Poem for Harp and Orchestra- which I’ve never come across before (online, on CDs, or in concert). I was wondering if anyone here had played it, knew what it sounded like, or had any opinions to share? Thanks!

I heard it performed by Elizabeth Richter at the 2004 national conference of the AHS. I think it is a beautiful piece. It is very atmospheric, impressionistic, and musically challenging. He uses ideas he developed into his Five Poetical Studies. He performed it with several American orchestras as a showpiece.
