    Indeed.

How truly pitiful that a harpist to the Royals should choose to steal and defraud innocent people.

Isn’t it hard enough to make an honest living as a highly trained professional harpist?

I wonder if my harp and I will be strip searched at my next gig to make sure I am not walking out the door with the family jewels and silver spoons stuffed in my harp base?

    Pathetic, really pathetic.

Yes, that was my first thought. All the times I’ve had to deal with security goons in the past, I could just point to the harp and point out that if I wanted to case the joint there were easier ways to gain access. Not anymore. 🙁

Let us be cautious, as the news story tells us no facts at all, and basically smears her for their commercial purposes. She may be an innocent party caught in a scam that used her or any number of variations on any number of scenarios. “Just the facts, Ma’am.”

This is very true, but from the standpoint of the effect on the rest of us, it doesn’t really matter. The damage is done, even if she’s later acquitted (that will be a page 27 story, not a page 2 story).

It looks like a Salvi Apollo in ebony. I have one in mahogany: I have to say that everyday I play it I love more. It has a huge full sound– when I rip a widely spread rolled chord it is like raw power! I guess some harpists can’t handle the massive sound as it seemed to lead this one to the dark side of the Force…

I agree with Saul. She very well may be innocent. Possibly, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time, or another scenario.

They certainly chose the right picture to make her look guilty of something.

Maybe I’ll be more careful at gigs in future, and not let myself out of my
