I’ve been playing harp for 9 years, & have taken Music for Healing &

Transition classes, & helped facilitate the small group meeting of

‘healing harpers’ at the ’96 Folk Harp Con. in Olympia. I occasionally

play for Hospice patients & in elder care facilities, as well as

    ‘regular’ gigs.

I began teaching Reiki a few years before I got my harp, & so have

‘always’ included healing with my music. I’ve had several sweet

experiences with healing & music, including another Reiki teacher who

had a stomach ache, which he said was gone after a brief meditation

for which I played background music.

    Hi Nadya–

I also am a Reiki Master/Teacher, and I am a graduate of the MHTP program.

I have 1st-degree reiki training, among others. I once used it for an audition in which I played the Introduction and Allegro (Ravel). They said it had a very nice flow. It helped me learn to connect all the notes. People who attend my recitals have told me they found it healing, and I’ve noticed when singers have it in them. It adds to performance, but it’s not music.
