I have a Lyon & Healy Troubador Vl lever harp that is one and a half years old.

Could weather have something to do with it? (changes in humidity, for example).

Is it your fingers squeaking on the strings? I’m a hairdresser and having my hands go from wet to dry all day long has robbed the natural oils from my hands, causing a “squeak” when my fingers slide along the strings of my harp. This goes away if I take a few days off from work but quickly comes back upon return.

did you check inside the harp for a mouse? It can happen.
