    Hi there! I’m a beginning harper, and have the opportunity to purchase an older Camac Aziliz harp for far below the cost of a new one. It’s in terrific condition; however it has the older style Camac levers (teardrop shape, not the new thicker ones). I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion if these levers are still considered “good” and worth being able to spend a couple thousand less than the cost of a new harp? I’d love to hear your opinions on the older style levers. Thank you!

    Hi Heather,

    The older teardrop Camac levers had a tendency to bend at the neck if they got bashed – the new ones are much stronger, but not quite so aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. Apart from that, they were good levers. You might like to email Camac and check that replacement levers are still available.
