I got a new floor lamp since I just moved my music setup to another room. It has a 3-way socket pointed to the ceiling and a gooseneck reading light in this case. Is there a recommendation for a particular color temperature of the lights I should put in these sockets? Is it ultimately a personal preference after some experience? I was never really conscious of using different color temperatures for different rooms until now. Since I would have to go out of the way to get some specific bulbs I welcome any opinions.

I know I am a little late in posting this, but I personally prefer bright white light over the more yellow tones. Natural daylight is my very favorite.
