Hello everyone! It’s my first post here.
I’m going to buy a small pedal harp, and now have two options:
    1) a brand-new Chicago Petite 40, with 3-year warranty; and
    2) a used Style 85 Petite being sold by L&H CPO, built in 2006, in very good condition, just regulated by L&H, with 1-year warranty.
The two are very similar – both have 40 strings, with straight soundboard.
And the price is very close, too.

Which one do you think is better?
    Thanks for your kind help!

    Hi DH,

I would go for the 85 Petite if it were me.

    Hi Denver,

I’ve owned a Chicago Petite 40 before, and it was a great harp–nice, warm, resonant sound–much like a small pedal harp.

I bought an 11 year old 85 P a year ago, and i can’t think of enough good things to say about it.

As an old musician I’ve always preferred to play a newish but played in instrument. Especially buying one of the CPOs, you are getting an instrument with any potential bugs takn care of, with a new regulation.

I love to think that my 85 P is a special stupendous amazing one of a kind,

but the fact is, Lyon and Healy just makes really excellent harps.

I’ll bet you’ll love which ever one you decide on!
