Nicbo, you are very welcome. We live in western North Carolina, but I have relatives in Montana! Unfortunately, they do not play the harp. Maybe there will be some other harpists there, or in Idaho, that you could connect with. I really feel like you are very wise to go with a Camac harp, and the Egerie, with its already good reputation, should be a wonderful harp to own and enjoy playing. Sylvain Blassel, in his concert on the Egerie, certainly shows what can be done on that harp!

I am going to your new topic on these Forums now, about wood finishes.

    Continued best wishes,
    Balfour (and Carol Lynn)

    Hi, Nicbo,

If you’re interested in hearing/seeing the YouTube video of Sylvain Blassel playing a Camac Egerie (with straight soundboard) that Balfour mentioned, here is the exact title of the video; just put this into the YouTube search bar:

“Les Jeudis classiques, concerts en ligne | Sylvain Blassel”

This forum often doesn’t allow links to be posted, or I would give you the actual link. You could also type in youtube (dot) com (forward slash) and then paste this after the slash: watch?v=9dhtthZ7-ME

    Enjoy!

    Nice to meet you Gregg!
Thank you for the title! I did have difficulty finding that, I ended up watching people yodelling for 40mins, it’s very easy to get distracted there.

I’m going there now with the title you gave me.. I’ll be back!

Wow wow… I forgot to breathe while watching it, it’s amazing!! I enjoy being able to watch his fingers so close, great technics! I’m still in a middle of his show so I’ll go back to it now… Hehe
Thank you Gregg for the title!
And I LOVE the sound of it! I’m so excited! I placed an order today, and my harp will arrive in May!

That is wonderful that you placed your order today, Nicbo! Did you pick walnut or natural? They are both beautiful and will show up the nice wood grain. We know you can’t wait to get your pedal harp!

    Best wishes and harp hugs,
    Balfour (and Carol Lynn)
