I would like to take a moment to point out the usefulness of Pentacle, by Marietta Bitter, as a teaching supplement. It provides valuable information about the life of Carlos Salzedo and the development of the modern harp, and gives a sense of the context to that. The supplemental material is a helpful guide to the Salzedo repertoire. I remain available to answer questions. I suggest that teachers assign it to their students as reading material.

I agree. Aside from the fact that it is simply a very interesting book, the graded listing of Salzedo’s compositions and arrangements is a very, very handy reference to have and useful guide.

Oh, and your introduction was just chock full of good information Saul. Well done.
