I just went to a fabulous organ concert last night and really enjoyed it.

I might if you told me where you were, what kind/size organ was it and who was playing?

Unfortunately there wasn’t any info in the program about the organ.

My husband played a concert in the conference center in SLC in ’86. As I recall it was a 3 manual Sipe. He also plays a transcription of Pictures. It works really well on organ. Fancy footwork isn’t that impressive really……It’s just another keyboard and you learn how to get around on it. But it IS fun to watch. Before I was an organist it was fascinating to me. When I learned how to do it it was just fun!!

I believe they were talking about the new conference center which is less than ten years old so not the same organ 🙁

The organ at First Plymouth had four manuals.

A friend just emailed me some details on this organ.

    Jennifer,

This organ is indeed very similar to the organ in the conference center (I had the privilege of playing that organ last fall while I was in SLC for General Conference).

I was hoping I’d hear from you!
