Like most of you, I’m pulling my Nutcracker part out getting ready for December performances. I have played it before, but have always felt that Act II No. 10 Letter C is awkward in the hands. I was wondering if anyone has a good edit to the part? I always play parts as written, but if anyone has ideas for this section I’d love to hear about it!

I haven’t played it, but from looking at the score, it looks like it might be worth trying enharmonic doubling on the repeated notes, and using thumb and fourth finger slides on the doubled notes to get around the awkward groupings….?

Thanks for the suggestion, Paul. And Elizabeth, that would be wonderful! My email is adair.10025@gmail.com. I appreciate it.
