I have been playing the harp for about 18 mo. and practice over an hour each day. The tip of my 4th finger suddenly feels numb. It starts at the callous and goes into the nail. It is a bit discolored and slightly swollen. Could this be a harp injury?

I am also an experienced pianist and organist (50 years). I would appreciate any insight or advice. I will also ask my very experienced teacher.

No, I don’t think that would be from the harp itself. I would see a dermatologist to make sure it’s not an infection or boil or anything. It could be trapped fluid. Or it could be a nerve problem which could be coming from much higher up.
