I have a jazz piece that should have some pedal glisses beween two quick notes. I want to write in the pedalling and show where those glisses are. The only reference I have found to the notation is in Stanley Chaloupka’s handbook. Besides a slur over the two notes, he suggests a / or stroke before the pedal mark for the second note. I have never seen this in a publication, and it seems spacially confusing, as the slashes show pitch direction, opposite from pedal action. Comments, please?

Usually I’ve seen the pedals written out below the notes of the slide. That makes it pretty unambiguous. No special notation.
