    Do you have students that want to begin teaching? Do you discourage them if they haven’t been studying long enough? What do you feel is a sufficient background to begin teaching? For me, it is at least a college music degree.

    It seems to me it would depend a lot on where they want to teach and what their students’ expectations are.

    Your view is reasonable. It is important to have the best possible teacher whenever possible. Lucile Lawrence always took beginners. She felt it was important to do that.
