    Hello, my friend sent me some pictures of a harp at her friend’s house and I’m wondering if anyone can help me identify it. It looks to have sharping blades, so I’m assuming it’s a wire strung harp, but that may not be accurate. There wasn’t anything that she could find written or imprinted inside the soundbox.

    It is a Macfall style gut strung Irish harp. The style has been made since the turn of the last century.

    Ah, that seems correct. Any idea the maker? MacFall is a lovely style.

    I can’t guess a likely maker – the blades and soundboard pegs make me think it isn’t very new- before 1980 maybe.
