Any good harp teacher can work with your son. I don’t think there’s anything special or great about the Suzuki method. The Suzuki harp book I picked up was embarrassingly bad. One of the worst beginner harp books I’ve seen.

Hi–I’m hoping to start my five year old on the harp soon.

I know Manon Lecomte from our days together in National Youth Orchestra (1973). I don’t

know whether she teaches Suzuki or not, though. Jennifer Swartz is the Principal Harpist of

the Montreal Symphony, and studied with Judy Loman. Margo Morris and I played together

once with the National Ballet. Margo, I believe, plays second harp in the Montreal

    Symphony. All very fine players!
