    I wondered if anyone has ordered and owned a pedal harp in the Chicago line from Lyon & Healy and if you’ve been happy with your harp?

    Anne, I bought the most beautiful 85P last year from the L&H CPO section.

    If I were looking for Concertino, I’d find out if there were any 85s there and play them first. I think Kay Lister’s is an 85 Concertino, and she’s really thrilled with it.

    My little 85 had to play a wedding on a mushy rug behind numerous bride’s maids last week, and everyone in church was absolutely amazed how much sound came from it.

    You’re in a great situation because you can play new harps and the CPOs when you visit.

    I have a Chicago Petit (40 strings) for almost a year now. Before that I have rented a Prelude. I love the size of the Chicago Petit. Although the sound of larger harps is (a bit) warmer, I prefer the “little” one I have; it is not too big and the sound is wonderful. I know that I cannot play all the music because I don’t have 47 strings on my harp, but my teacher told me we can change that particular sheet music

    I’ve heard mixed reviews as well, so I had hoped to hear what the harp community had to say about the Chicago harp models.
