I’ve heard that the life expectancy of a pedal harp soundboard is arguably (VERY arguably) something around 40 years. Is there any indication of how long a lever harp soundboard might last?? There will likely be a wide range of responses – hopefully some indication will start to emerge as a middle-of-the-road estimate.

I have an Ogden, so am thinking of that size/type lever harp. Also, continuous full tension (or near full tension) is assumed.

    Thanks to all!

It depends on the instrument’s design and construction.

Thanks, and understood that there’s probably quite a range of instruction quality, etc., here.
